Quality music DJ consoles here, from brands like Numark, Pioneer, and other professional DJ equipment makers. Hercules music mixers are here, too: see the tab for Hercules DJ consoles above.

Some of the coolest DJ equipment, like multi-channel mixers and DJ scratch mixers, are on sale.

DJ Consoles with impressive features and audio sound effects. Great for mixing beats. Music Mixing boards like the Digital DDM4000 DJ Mixer from Behringer and others are discussed here.

There are a lot of very high quality DJ Music Mixer Consoles out in the market place today. Some with only two sound channel mixers for the less experienced to some with sixteen whole sound channels. Most professional DJ equipment now is also integrated with digital technology so they can actually save the recordings at home. Most still choose to record the mixes in front of an audience to show case their skills with their audio mixer!

The most regularly used DJ consoles are made by Behringer and Pioneer but there are many more well known brand names out there. I have actually been looking at the Digital DDM4000 DJ Mixer from Behringer. It has 5 digital sound channels, you can hook up your CD or MP3 players to the 4 stereo channels, it is a digital 32-bit DJ mixer that allows you to store and save your recordings. It also has Programmable EQ and Kill switches which some you can not program or are very hard to program. It has real time dual digital cross fader that includes control, loop and reverse functions too.

DJ Mixers With Advanced Features

Two patented freely assignable and BPM-synchronized, high-quality FX engines that include the following; Bitcrusher, Resonator, Reverb, Flanger. A headphone section that includes these functions: PFL Mix/Split and Bass/Snare boost. It also includes a digital S/PDIF output for direct recording of your performance This looks like it is for at least an intermediate DJ, but I’ve seen a professional 5 year DJ actually using this equipment and it worked very well. He also has his favorite one though that he just got a while back, his PRO MIXER VMX1000. This one is not as advanced as the one he just got but it is one he has used before.

The VMX1000 has these smooth ultra gliders that he has never replaced. It has 7 sound channels, and an auto count BPM counter. His favorite thing to do though is use the talk over feature that is right before the music stops. It has zone outputs he uses on a basis.

The monitor function has a split option with PFL/main balance control. 5 dual input stereo channels help switch and send effects within the building very easily. It also has a dedicated loop for connecting external devices such as an effects processor. A 3-band kill EQ with EQ on/off switch on stereo channels, helps gain control and with precise meters per channel! These are the two he uses and some of the features included on most, not all, of the DJ equipment. I hope this helps with any questions you have!

Companies like Pioneer, Behringer, Vestax, and Numark make popular professional DJ equipment. Technics makes a nice Direct Drive DJ Turntable. Numark makes some all digital DJ gear including its all-USB DJ console. It has features that give you the ability to do beat-matching, too.
Sound engineers choose their DJ gear carefully in order to produce the best possible audio mix. High-tech audio mixer consoles and Disc Jockey equipment are much more affordable than they used to be. You may prefer DJ mixers which have a crossfader included. If you're into latin music, you may want to look for audio mixers by searching for 'mesa de mezcla', 'consola dj', or 'equipo para dj'. 'Mesa de mezclas' literally means 'mixing table'.
Another music mixer you might want to check out is the Hercules Mark II DJ Mixer Console. Known for its sound mixing technology and sophisticated music mixing boards, Numark makes a good line of CD DJ mixers. Their dual deck CDMIX2 Pro DJ Integrated Dual CD Player and Audio Mixer has continuous play and seamless looping.
